The 2026 edition will take place in Paris, France, supported by EAZA and the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle.
The Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle is one of the world’s oldest scientific institutions, dedicated to the study and preservation of nature and humanity’s relationship with it. Through its research, collections, and public sites, including the Parc zoologique de Paris, it plays a central role in advancing science, education, and biodiversity conservation.

From 29 September to 3 October, 2026, Paris will host the EAZA Annual Conference, the key gathering for European zoo and aquarium professionals. Organized by the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle, through its two emblematic institutions, the Parc zoologique de Paris and the Ménagerie du Jardin des Plantes, in collaboration with the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA), the conference will bring together more than 1,000 participants from across Europe.
Researchers, institution directors, conservation experts, NGO representatives and industry partners will meet to share knowledge, reflect on future challenges, and strengthen their collective commitment to biodiversity. Beyond the scientific conferences and workshops held at the Palais des Congrès in Issy-les-Moulineaux, participants will also discove
discover the richness of Paris’s zoos and enjoy unique social events from the Grande Galerie de l’Évolution to a gala dinner on the Seine.
